Stephen Aiello is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and founder of SA Psychiatry. He is certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and brings a unique blend of medical expertise and compassion to his practice.

A Career Dedicated to Care
Mr. Aiello specializes in behavioral health, providing compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of psychiatric disorders. He offers both in-person and telehealth services, with a focus on evidence-based treatment through medication management for patients ages six and older. His goal is to ensure every individual receives accessible, consistent, and personalized care to support long-term mental health and overall well-being.
With over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine, Stephen has worked as a paramedic, flight nurse, and emergency department nurse, serving patients in high-pressure, critical care settings. These experiences gave him a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges individuals face during crisis.
His path to psychiatry was inspired by personal experiences supporting colleagues who struggled with depression, anxiety, substance use disorders, and PTSD. This strengthened his commitment to mental health and motivated him to dedicate the remainder of his career to helping others heal and find balance.
At SA Psychiatry, Stephen strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs, with a focus on improving quality of life and long-term well-being.

Scott Kerr
Scott Kerr has worked for over two decades with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, military veterans, first responders and their families, geriatric and retired populations, and offenders. Problems Scott can help guide people through include: PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, difficult adjustments, relational issues, parenting, addictions, and self-esteem problems to list a few. Scott utilizes research-based protocols in his therapy including Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Scott's approach is gentle, yet structured, individualized, and encouraging to help his patients see the greatest results in the shortest amount of time. His philosophy views every human being as having intrinsic worth apart from externals. External objects often draw our attention away from what is true and can cause us to embrace false, irrational belief patterns that can lead to more problems and unwanted symptoms. Learning to be aware of negative cognitions, facing them, and eventually letting them go, can greatly improve spiritual, physical, and emotional health.
