Streamline Professional Counseling
Scott Kerr, MSW, LCSW Director and Clinical Supervisor
Scott Kerr has worked for over two decades with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, military veterans, first responders, retired populations, and offenders. Problems Scott can help guide people through include: PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, difficult adjustments, relational issues, parenting, addictions, and self-esteem problems to list a few. Scott utilizes research-based protocols in his therapy including Eye Movement, Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Scott's approach is gentle, yet structured, individualized, and encouraging to help his patients see the greatest results in the shortest amount of time. His philosophy views every human being as having intrinsic worth apart from externals. External objects often draw our attention away from what is true and can cause us to embrace false, irrational belief patterns that can lead to more problems and unwanted symptoms. Learning to be aware of negative cognitions, facing them, and eventually letting them go, can greatly improve spiritual, physical, and emotional health.
Scott serves as the Clinical Supervisor at Streamline Professional Counseling, providing leadership, guidance, and clinical oversight for the organization’s clinicians as well as counselors outside the practice who are pursuing independent licensure. He offers comprehensive clinical supervision that includes therapeutic training, ethical decision-making support, case conceptualization, clinical observation, and both individual and group supervision sessions. Scott is committed to helping developing clinicians build confidence, competence, and integrity in their professional practice.
In addition to his supervisory role, Scott serves as Director of the practice, overseeing administrative operations and supporting office management and staff development. He is dedicated to fostering a healthy, transparent, and collaborative environment for both employees and clients. Through a feedback-informed care approach, Streamline Professional Counseling utilizes client surveys and staff feedback tools to ensure treatment needs are being met, employees feel supported, and workloads remain balanced to promote high-quality care and sustainable clinical practice.
